PROGRAMMES COORDINATOR
Fixed-term Contract
The successful incumbent will lead on relevant projects and provide day-to-day oversight of administrative and operational functions.
Duties and responsibilities will typically include assisting with grant planning and administration, financial, budgetary, and/or other associated transactions, programme implementation and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, programmes marketing, and reporting.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required include: the ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments, the ability to coordinate and organise meetings and/or special events, administrative, word processing, and relevant office skills, proven experience in organising resources and establishing priorities, strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community, the ability to train assigned staff, knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures, knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing technique, the ability to gather and analyse statistical data and generate reports, as well as demonstrable writing skills.
The role requires: independent coordination of all day-to-day aspects of a specified contract/grant funded programme activity; administrative programme planning, implementation, and monitoring; implementation of effective operational/administrative policies and procedures specific to the achievement of identified objectives; writing, editing, and publication of marketing, promotional, and/or educational materials and integrated reports; day-to-day team interaction with, liaison between, and coordination of a wide range of internal and external constituencies involved in programme activities; assistance with planning, preparation, and management of budgets and expenditures.
Minimum requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Conversant in multiple South African languages
- Experience in Arts Management/Administration
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Passion and commitment to the development of the cultural sector
- Excellent work ethic and great project management skills
- Willing to travel
- Able to work effectively in remote settings

RESEARCH PROJECTS COORDINATOR
Fixed-term Contract
The successful incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing relevant projects from ideation through to completion. This role requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.
Duties and responsibilities will typically include: coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget, assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility, ensuring resource availability and allocation, developing detailed project plans to monitor and track progress, managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques, measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, reporting and escalate to management as needed, perform risk management to minimise project risks, maintaining relationships with third parties/vendors, creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, meeting with clients to take detailed briefs and clarify specific requirements of relevant projects, tracking project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals, meeting budgetary objectives and making adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis, developing comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members, developing spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required include: ability to meet deadlines, preparation of project progress reports, coordinating with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible, familiarity with a variety of the research concepts, practices and procedures and the ability to perform a variety of tasks.

- Relevant Degree at Honours Level
- Valid driver’s license
- Conversant in multiple South African languages
- Experience in Arts Management/Administration
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role

MARKETING DESIGN INTERN
Fixed-term Contract
The successful incumbent will join the marketing team to develop branded content for a variety of mediums including social media, print/digital collateral, email and video. They will assist with graphic design, photography, and video development/editing, and pitch ideas for growing brand awareness. Intern must be detail oriented, self-motivated, familiar with creating content for a variety of social media and digital platforms, have a willingness to take direction and adhere to brand standards. Required skills include training or demonstrable experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.), experience with editing video and performing post-production needs, proficiency in graphic design and attention to detail. Applicants should ideally have their own stable Wi-Fi as well as a designated space to work from virtually.
