The application window for Cycle 1 of the Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) Supporting Grants Programme is now open.
Prospective partners are invited to submit a concise, one-page formal letter of interest. This letter should include essential details such as the project name, a brief description, the business sponsor’s name, and the nature of the sponsorship offered (cash, in-kind, or both, with a specified rand value). Additionally, the letter should be accompanied by the business sponsor’s letter of endorsement. The deadline for letters of interest for this round of applications is May 6, 2024.
Eligible applicants will subsequently receive an invitation to complete a comprehensive online application. Applications will undergo evaluation based on various criteria, including the project’s scale and impact, artistic merit, feasibility, contribution to social cohesion, and reach in relation to the available funding. Preference will be given to projects that offer tangible benefits to their business sponsor(s). As a membership organisation, BASA will prioritize projects where both the arts organisation and business sponsor(s) are BASA members.
BASA Membership registration is quick and simple. Visit Membership – Business and Arts South Africa (basa.co.za) and for a detailed criteria and guidelines, interested parties are encouraged to visit the BASA Supporting Grants page at https://basa.co.za/grants/supporting-grants/.
