Programme Overview
Business and Arts South Africa’s Debut Fund Programme invites experienced professionals to apply for the role of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultant/Organisation to enhance the current curriculum and programme design of the Debut Fund Programme. This is to ensure relevant and sustainability for the Programme’s target demographic: young artists between the ages of 18 and 35 years based in rural and peri-urban communities in South Africa who are in need of business training, mentorship, grants and resource support. Through online channels such as WhatsApp, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, we assist young artists to turn their creative ideas into investment-ready businesses.
The Debut Fund Programme’s first iteration had a cohort of 197 participants. This number has grown exponentially over the years with the second iteration’s cohort of 358 participants and the third iteration’s 420 participants. Debut Fund Programme’s fourth, fifth and sixth iterations will reduce the cohort number and Programme duration to 50 participants each year. This new model is designed for greater agility, deeper impact, and clearer visibility. It represents a focused commitment to building a pipeline of investment-ready creative businesses.
