Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) is pleased to announce that applications for Cycle 3 of the BASA Supporting Grants Programme are now open. The deadline for submissions is 7 October 2024, offering eligible applicants the opportunity to secure funding for innovative projects that showcase artistic excellence, foster social cohesion, and drive economic growth.
The BASA Supporting Grants Programme provides financial backing for initiatives that align with these values. Applicants are invited to submit detailed online applications, which will be evaluated on project size, impact, feasibility, and alignment with available funding. Preference will be given to projects that offer tangible benefits to their business sponsor(s). As a membership organisation, BASA will prioritize projects where both the arts organisation and business sponsor(s) are BASA members.
Prospective partners should submit a one-page letter of interest, detailing the project description, the name of the business sponsor, the type of sponsorship, and a letter of endorsement from a business sponsor.
“In the previous cycle, the BASA Supporting Grants Programme allocated a total of R430,000 to 13 diverse projects across the country. This investment reflects our commitment to fostering artistic excellence and social impact. As we launch Cycle 3 of the programme, we are excited to invite new applications. We encourage eligible individuals and organizations to apply before the deadline , for the chance to secure funding for projects that demonstrate innovation, enhance social cohesion, and contribute to economic growth”, said Sipho Mthiyane, Supporting Grants Officer.
