Creative Youth Policy Lab Cohort 2026
Shandré Lummis is a visual artist and storyteller whose practice explores memory, identity, and belonging through textiles, printmaking, and installation. Drawing from her lived experience and hybrid heritage, her work examines the lasting impact of colonialism and apartheid while reclaiming overlooked histories through art. By combining archival research with personal narratives, Shandré creates immersive works that invite reflection on identity, resilience, and community. She joins the Creative Youth Policy Lab with a thoughtful perspective on cultural memory and representation.
