Ash-Leigh La Foy has 17 years’ experience as a performance artist. In 2011, she founded my company Heartistree Productions, through which she manages her music business administration, as well as the placement of other independent artists in income-earning opportunities.
Ash-Leigh has performed at the International Poetry Africa Festival. She was one of 30 artists selected for the Red Bull Bass Camp, was nominated in the first South African Hip Hop Awards and participated in the All-Female Purple Velvet Hip Hop Tour across Europe. She has performed at Lyricist Lounge SA, and, more recently, performed in the Music In Africa Digital Concert, produced by Post Post Entertainment.
She is a self-published author of two children’s books, Queen Shalabeama and The Star Children (also translated into isiZulu) and Iziqinisekiso – 100 Zulu Affirmations.
She graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with a Degree in Social Science.
